The value of a full-year scholarship will be announced in early November, prior to the start of the new award program. At present, each full-year scholarship is valued at $1,000 USD. Shorter-term scholarships will be pro-rated based on the duration of the educational program e.g., a one semester scholarship will have a value of one-half of a full-year scholarship.
A school labelled as a “designated educational institution” is eligible to receive Canada Student Loans. The Master list is updated regularly and available at https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/designated-schools.html.
The Master list is used by the Carten Foundation to determine institutions eligible for student scholarships in Canada. Only educational institutions on the Master list are qualified to receive Foundation funds for use in Canada.
No. Students may attend any school including home school but must have resided within the geographic area of the North Queens Community School district during Grades 10 through 12.
Students with special needs are eligible for an additional year of scholarship funding i.e., 5 years versus 4 years. Please indicate your status in the registration form and include a clarification note in the comment section.
Yes. Students may attend accredited institutions located in Canada, US, UK, or EU.
